Come like the rain

Father, Your word tells me that You will come like the rain. That You will fall fresh, right when we need it. You open up the floodgates and send exactly what I need exactly when I need it. Thank you for faithfully, regularly and graciously giving Yourself for me. 

Help me to press into You to know You more. Give me a great passion for You that cannot be quenched by anything other than Your fresh downpour.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart

Father, I trust in You with all my heart and do not depend on my own understanding of the way I see things. You are always trust-worthy. 

Help me to always acknowledge You in every situation that I face and decision that I have to make. Help me to trust that You will always keep my path straight as I obey You.

Creation. Order and rest.

Father, thank you that You reveal through creation that You do all things with purpose and in order.  Even our rest should be with purpose. 

Help me to work hard and with purpose and order to the best that I am able. And help me to see that I must honor You in my rest.

Great mercy

Father, in You there is always hope. Hope for repentance, for restoration, for healing, for the broken to be made new. You have shown me Your great mercy. Thank You for choosing me even when I may not have wanted to be chosen or called. You yearn for Your children to return to You.

Jeremiah 31

Christ has set us free

Father, as You have dug deeper into my heart to reveal the things that still hold me captive, help me to acknowledge these things and allow You to heal me. Thank You that through Jesus You have set me free and it is my choice to walk in that freedom. Help me not to take up this heavy yoke again. I will not submit to slavery to my enemy, I will submit to You and Your Word. Thank You that I am not longer a slave. I am a child of God.

His perfect patience

Father, thank You that You sent Jesus to the world to save sinners, of whom I am formost. You have shown me mercy so that Christ may display His perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in Him for eternal life. All glory and honor is to You, the King of all ages, immortal, invisible, the only God. 

Thank You for Your perfect patience with me. Help me daily to display an example of patience and grace so that many may come to know and love You.

The Obedience of Abram

Father, make me a woman who walks in obedience to You. In all the unknowns and in the terrifying moments when I just feel my heart is about to pound of my chest. Help me not to fear or talk myself out of what You ask of me. Help me to step out into the land that I cannot see and don't know the name of, in trust knowing that it will be better and bigger than I can ever imagine. Help me to always know that You bless me to be a blessing in the lives of those around me. Thank You for Abram's obedience and that by his obedience all of the people of the world have been blessed... By Jesus.

The vine

Father, thank you for Your pruning to bear more fruit. Help me to trust in Your pruning, that it is always for my good. Help me to abide in You. Thank you that as I abide in You, the fruit will come. I don't have to work at it. It will just be. I desire to abide in You and in Your word. I desire to bring You glory with my life.

Job 42

Father, thank you for showing us Your journey with Job. You took him through the fire, he questioned, he sat in silence and he felt forgotten and overlooked by his friends and by You. All things that I feel when You are refining me. Thank You that I can know that You can do all things and that no purpose of Yours is ever stopped. 

Thank You that I can know that You will answer, even if it takes a while. You do make beautiful things out of us. Help me to remember, when I am being tested, to run to You. I have put all my hope in You.

Pray for us

Father, help us as Your church to pray for each other. Make us a people of prayer. Help us to pray for Your Word to be spread and to be willing vessels in spreading Your Word. Help us to pray for each other to be delivered, that we will hold each other up and not cut each other down. Thank You for being our Deliverer. Thank You for being faithful. Teach us to be faithful to You and faithful in prayer. May You direct our hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ.
