Father, thank you for the examples You have given us in scripture to learn from. Bring to my remembrance Saul and the armies of Israel, as they were dismayed by the shouts of the warrior Goliath. Help me to stand up against the lies of the enemy and not allow his constant yelling to cause me to fear or be broken. I want to be strong in You and fight in Your truth.
Help me to remember David, who even though he was already anointed to be the next king, as he ran to obey the requests of his father. Help me to run in obedience to all that You ask of me, as I wait for You to bring me into the calling You have placed on my life. Help me to obey all the little steps.
